To the interesting moments

To the interesting moments. Today I had an unplanned communication or visitors if you would like to say. It is not as if all my communication and people I meet are always planned but this was interesting. Spontaneity brings the best out of things. I met an artist today. He knew so much about art than I did and I could understand where his passion comes from.

I have this bad behavior of picking up the small comments that people don’t pay attention to and focus on those. Am sorry am I really they are the interesting part of any conversation.

He is creating art through fashion and design to express his life story and journey as a reflection to all millennials and GenZ as he calls them the digital television community. We are indeed the people that learned a lot from television from having one and going to video studios to see one and getting into a tonne of trouble when you got home late. Yes, African mums when the chicken enters the coup you should follow afterward anything later should be the man of the house. Since we were not called for a beating. Makes me wonder why my generation loves being outside and when a certain hour passes guilt comes roaming in.

He seeks an identity, an expression of all that is within him through his art. He has the best way of doing it that is sophisticated, complicated, wholesomely unique, and rebellious like for him when you just take all this at face value before he speaks and oozes energy for someone that loves all he creates.

He knows his craft, knows all the people that came before him, and how they inspire his creation. Although one thing that we couldn’t agree with is that the first creators are not meant to be duplicated. However, inspiration is all duplication and the students end up creating awesome crafts that keep the legacy of all the gone more important and of great value.

Creation by my small brother Ryan

I really wanted to mention a few however names are not my strongest suit yet. It takes more than one occasion for a name to stick and to be part of my long-term memory.

He wants a voice within him to be heard. Out of all that hurt, one of his greatest themes is rebuilding. A simple word but to him it captures all the light and the words that have been unspoken and he is finding a light for the dark and the words through his craft. Ooh yeah, darkness and quiet are one of the themes too.

I wish he would document all these and hopefully, he will one day. The process of creating with fear with the hope of being understood being the driving force. I Am intrigued to see what his future beholds. Follow his art on Instagram @alienatedroute. It was a great pleasure meeting you today. Cheers people. I am tired and humbled to share this.
